Wish policy

While you can add a lot of things on your wish list, there are some items that you are not allowed to place on your wish list. We will go through them in this section.

Items we do not allow

Most items we do not allow are due to rules by our payment processors.

Please keep the following in mind when you add a wish. We try to proactively detect and notify you of these items before they become a problem, but in certain cases this may fall under our radar, so please be aware of these before you add your next wish.

By adding these types of items, there is a high-chance that you will lose chargeback protection, may be placed on a high-risk account and potentially lose access to your account. We are not able to protect you from fraud for the following types of items.

High-risk accounts

We classify our users into different risk levels, one of them being high-risk.

If your account is placed into a high-risk category, the gifting experience of your senders will be affected. We limit the payment options available and require more checks before someone buys you a gift.

TL;DR things become more expensive for us if your account is high-risk since this requires people, effort, and money to maintain. We change the way gifting on your account works to compensate for this.

Adult items 🔞

We don't allow items of an adult or sexual nature. Most payment processors strictly prohibit these types of items, and so we can't let you wish for them.

Exchange of goods and services 🤝

You can't use Cheersend for offering goods and services to people. Some examples of things like this are:

• 30-minute session with me ❌
• Private video call with me ❌
• Buy my customs ❌

What is wrong with this?

These types of things make it easy for receivers to issue chargebacks since it is easy for a buyer to claim that they did not receive the item or good they paid for, but difficult for a receiver to prove that they did. Since this results in a large amount of fraud, payment companies prohibit these types of items.

Since Cheersend is a wish list platform, we do not provide you with features to be able to fulfill items.

TL;DR This will result in a large number of chargebacks on your account. Chargebacks involve people to resolve and so it costs a lot of money each time you receive one. If we receive a chargeback and are not able to win it, this may be deducted from your account balance.
